There is no ONE "best" of any firearm. The Ruger .22 autos with target barrels and sights are among the most common, the High Standard Supermatic Citations have been used in competition for years, and Olympic Match quality guns like the Hammerli have been used as well.
For what? Accuracy, target shooting or beasts of the forest?
Your best bet is to find a gunsmith and ask for help.
Best left to a gunsmith
You will have to provide the end use for the pistol for anyone to even begin to try to answer this question. Also, your budget.
Yes. Not the best choice, but yes.
This is a problem best left to a qualified gunsmith.
Impossible to answer without knowing intended use, even then, it will be an opinion.
.308 Winchester
Best to ask a gunsmith for help.
Imho, s&w
Not possible to give you a single answer- depends on best for WHAT? The VP70Z was a full auto machine pistol, and the p9S a target pistol. Each a good gun for its purpose. The P7 series would be a good concealed carry gun, etc. Some folks like chocolate, some like strawberry- and the best ice cream or best pistol is a matter of opinion.
H&K USP45, hands down. Imo its the best designed pistol in the market 2day. Great looking, reliable and accurate. My cousin has one as service pistol and it has never jammed.
