So far, the 7.3L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel V8. But the old 7.3L PSD is running a tight race with the 05 to 07 6.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel V8s. They have been proven to be reliable. The only bad 6.0L PSDs were the 03.5 and 04s. Every Ford diesel made has had some good reliability. If you get an upgraded turbo on the 6.4L and a DPF Delete Kit you are good to go for a high mileage diesel. The 6.9L IDI Ford/International diesel was a great engine. Also, the 7.3L IDI Ford/International diesel engine. The 6.9L IDI and 7.3L IDI didn't have a turbo OR great power, but they were great engines. I am liking the new 2011 6.7L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel V8 that is in the new Super Duty trucks. It seems like it will be a very reliable and long-lasting high-mileage engine. There really isn't a "best" Ford diesel now days, but the early 6.0Ls and the 6.4Ls are definetly the pieces of sh*t in this round!
Is it possibl to change a diesal engine in a ford duetto 1995, for a turbo engine.
And your question is?
lucas gas or diesal
Rudolf Diesal
2013 F250 diesal mpg hyway/town
NADC Nashville auto- diesal college
15 litres including filter
Not eveyone is going to agree about the best engine, but I believe the Ford Powerstroke is the all time best engine around.
7.3 Diesel
diesal fuel ignites from pressure of the cylinder.gasoline ignites from the ignition spark from the distributor or coil pack.
The one and only 1.9 liter engine.
Before pneumatic & hydralics a diesal engine would pull the catch car with the train achieving about 60 MPH
