Best Answer

The 'best' brand is down to personal preference.

Rayon tampons such as Tampax, Playtex, and Kotex are best avoided - rayon tampons pose significantly higher risk of Toxic shock syndrome, vaginal irritation, allergic reaction, vaginal infections such as Bacterial Vaginosis, and they contain harmful substances such as dioxin.

Cotton tampons are a better option, brands such as Emerita, Cottons, Natracare, Maxim, Veeda, and Seventh Generation - Toxic Shock Syndrome has never been associated with this type of tampon, they are hypoallergenic, softer, and they don't contain harmful substances such as dioxin.

You may also prefer sponge tampons or soft tampons which are squishy and moistened before use so many women find these options more comfortable than conventional tampons.

The best brand of tampon is down to personal preference.

From a health stand-point rayon brands like Playtex, Kotex, and Tampax are best avoided as they pose higher risk of TSS, irritation, and may contain harmful ingredients. It is best to opt for cotton tampons which are safer and hypoallergenic, brands like Cottons, Natracare, Maxim, and Moxie.

Remember to always use lowest absorbency for your flow, also remember applicators are purely about limiting contact with the genitals but non-applicator are easier to use and mean less waste too.

What is the best brand of pads and tapons?

"Always"pads and "Tampax Pearl Tampons"

What are tampax compax tampons?

Tampax Compax tampons are a brand of commercial tampons - this means they're made from rayon fleece and cotton which is chemically treated and bleached. This particular brand expands in a way that keeps the tampon pretty flat, and have an applicator that's smaller than usual.

What brand of tampons are best for light flows?

Absorbency is universal across all brands - a Lite absorbency in Tampax will hold exactly as much flow as a Lite absorbency in Playtex - this is a law that all tampon companies must follow. Remember with absorbency if it leaks within 1-2 hours it's safe to use next absorbency up, but if the tampon isn't saturated in blood after 4-6 hours you need to use lower absorbency or switch back to pads.Cotton tampons are best - Maxim, Emerita, Cottons, Natracare, Seventh Generation - as cotton is softer, safer, and hypo-allergenic. It's best to avoid rayon tampons like Tampax, Playtex, and Kotex as these are rougher, bleached and chemically treated, and thus can be more irritating plus higher risks of TSS.

What brand of pad and tampons are in those dispensers?

The brand of pads and tampons in dispensers varies. Sometimes there's a label on the front to tell you, but you can't always believe what it says. Usually when you're buying one from a machine, you're desperate enough not to care that much!

What is the length of a regular tampon?

The size of a regular absorbency tampon depends on the type and brand of tampon. Most commercial and organic tampons are around 1 1/5-2 inches long, whereas sponge tampons or cloth tampons may vary in size greatly.

What is best to use pads or tampons?

Tampons are so much better!!! You can be sooo much more active, you u don't feel like your wearing a diaper, and you don't feel wet. It takes a one or two days to find the right size, brand, and angle for the tampon.

How do you ask your mom for ubykotex tampons?

You say something along the lines of the following:'Mom, can you please get me X brand tampons? Thank you!'Do remember that rayon tampons like Kotex pose much greater health risks than cotton tampons, so your mom may not agree to buy you these - that's not a bad thing, you can always use cotton tampons or use safer products like menstrual cups or softcups. You can also just try buying these yourself or put them in the basket when you're next at the store with your mom.

What is the smallest size tampon ever?

All tampons are pretty much the same size, it's more about absorbency - and absorbency is regulated across all brand so a light absorbency in one brand will be the same as a light absorbency in another brand. Always use light absorbency when first using tampons, only use higher absorbency if you leak through this within the first few hours, and use pads when your flow is too light for tampons. Although sponge tampons like Beppy or Gynotex are shorter so smaller than conventional tampons.

How large are tampons?

Conventional tampons such as Tampax or Natracare, also cloth tampons, are about an inch and a half in length, and about the diameter of a finger. Sponge tampons can come in various sizes, normally they are around the size of a gold ball. Soft tampons are about the size an inch high and an inch and a half in diameter.

Where can you buy ob tampons in England?

You'd only be able to but O.B. tampons online in England because they are an American brand, or at least not an English brand, you may be able to find them at smaller independent stores. In England most tampons are non-applicator, brands like Lil-Lets for example are one of the most popular brands in England and rayon tampons just like O.B. so will behave in the same way. In England we have more options than in America, for example we also have cotton tampons in stores like Boots which are safer than rayon tampons, brands like Cottons come in non-applicator too.

Can Playtex Sport tampons be used in water?

Any brand of tampon can be used in the water, you can also use menstrual cups, menstrual sponges, softcups, or diaphragms in the water too. Cups are a far safer option than tampons and menstrual cups are best for swimming as you can wear them even with light flow and they don't leak like tampons. If you are going to use tampons just make sure to use correct absorbency and time it so that you can insert a fresh tampon before swimming.

Do Australians have playtex sport tampons?

No, you don't have Playtex Sport tampons in Australia. Just get another brand, all tampons work the same and absorbency is universal so they all hold the same amount of flow too. It's best to avoid rayon tampons like Playtex anyway, opt for cotton tampons like Cottons instead.
