no, teddy bear hamsters are very territorial and will fight the other hamster.
YES,they can but they should be treated nicely
Hamsters hide in their houses in their cage or under their bedding.
Teddy bear hamsters are Syrian, so don't put them in the same cage. But I have both types, boy and girl. They get along perfectly (though not in the same cage). Every hamster's personality is different. In the same cage- it may result in fighting and death. So be careful!
No!They'll fight to death! NEVER put 2 differnent types of hamsters in one cage NEVER!
Teddy Bear hamsters dont ALWAYS need a big cage, but they would perfer a fairly large one. The reason is that hamsters are very active. I myself have a teddy bear hamster. I recently bought a large cage with a plastic bottom and a wire top- I recommend this cage greatly.
Syrian Hamsters will kill and eat a gerbil, do not put them together in the same cage.
In the stores they do have more than 2 in a cage. I would just be careful. I had a teddy bear hamster and added a short hair a while after and the teddy bear hamster chased the short hair around and eventually got used to them. Be careful though they may fight
Teddy Bear Hamsters make wonderful pets, I had a teddy bear hamster and they are the sweetest animals in the world! But each hamster is different and they require being handled daily, clean their cage once a week, change their water and food daily. Keep in mind hamsters are very fragile, even Teddy Bear Hamsters. If this is your first hamster please research it further before getting one and if you choose to get one you must accept the responsibility and take care of it properly.
As soon as the babies are born, so mom won`t fight him.
Hamsters have a gland on their behinds that emit an oil. The oil is a mark that it is its property. Hope this helps.
I'm a breeder so it depends. Is he/she sick or injured? If so leave it out. If not a wheel MUST always be in their cage
