For minor asthetic repairs, use a pre-mixed stucco product available at your local big box home improvement center, hardware store or from a supplier of construction products found in your local yellow pages. You need to wash and scrub the surface first and apply the product with a trowel. After applying the appropriate product, allow it to harden enough to sprinkle a little (very little) water on the surface and wipe it softly with a wet sponge. You can create swirling or other patterns if you like. Another option to this step is to brush it with a fine bristle broom after slightly wetting the hardening surface. You can achieve very pleasing and satisfying results. Caution, the cracks or other defects may be symptomatic of more serious problems, however, foundations always settle without uniformity, which creates cracks, and is rarely indicative of serious problems.
