VetPrep is a popular study set that is passed from student to student. However, as I was preparing for the NAVLE, I found ZukuReview to work better for me - it's interactive and online as opposed to the hand-held paper flashcards of VetPrep. Either one, or any of the several other review/preparation courses, would be fine - it's mostly about gearing you up and keeping the information you learned over the last four years fresh in your mind.
There are two major products available to assist vet students with studying for the NAVLE - VetPrep and ZukuReview. Both have a large set of multiple choice questions that covers all the topics on the NAVLE. In addition, reviewing class notes and reading through general medicine texts such as the Merck Vet Manual can help students study for the NAVLE.

There is really no minimum age. As long as the child can read the exam and understand the exam, they are permitted to write it. We do not recommend that children or young adults challenge the exam without taking a classroom course or home study course first.
