100 meters.
The distance range one can expect from Zeiss rifle scope can vary depending on the model. For example, the Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 can give a distance range of up to 100 yards.
Magnification, Distance, Objective size, etc..
Assuming that you are using a scope, which places your line of sight higher above the barrel, at 100 yards the bullet should hit 1.6 inches ABOVE your aiming point. At 200 yards it will have dropped to the aiming point. At 250 yards it will hit about 3 inches BELOW your aim point. That is for a 100 grain .243. Other bullet weights will, of course, have a different path. Great deer cartridge. Shoot safe, shoot often.
MOA is the abbreviation for "minute of angle". It is a measure of angle at a given distance. 1 MOA equals 1 inch at 100 yards. A scope that is 1/4 MOA would move the bullet impact 1/4 inch per click of adjustment at 100 yards.
Depends on if it is a bolt action or something like an AR-15. Bolt action is good up to I would say 300 yards. AR would be less because of the semi-auto feature. Other factors include wind, what kind of scope, and the type of bullet you are using (like the grain size of the bullet, etc.)
The velocity of a bullet is dependent on many factors. The amount and type of propellant affect velocity, as does the barrel length. The Springfield 30-06 with a 180 grain bullet can have a velocity of 820 meters per second based on a 60 centimeter barrel - again dependent on powder charge and type.
No
depends on distance to target, and on the scope. Many are 1/8th MOA- at 100 yards, 8 clicks equals one inch- but not all scopes are the same.
That will depend on the scope and your eyes- but is ABOUT 3.5 inches. (Distance between your eye and the rear lens of the scope) It is the distance where you see the full image in the scope. You adjust it by sliding the scope forwards or backwards in the rings before tightening them down so that it fits YOU when holding the rifle in firing position. Please note- failure to pull a heavy recoiling rifle in TIGHT to your shoulder will result in a cut over your eye from being whacked with the scope.
The BSA Sweet 17 rifle scope is an affordable scope that's designed for beginning rifle users. Average prices on the scope range from $50.00 to $100.00 in most cases.
Yes you can. Most of the modern in-line muzzle loaders are set up for mounting a rifle scope. However, a muzzle loader will still have a relatively slow bullet, and a very high arc when fired at long range. Your ability to accurately estimate range and hold over will be important.
adjustment knobs located under the caps. Remove the caps, the markings indicate which way to turn knobs to move the strike of the bullet.
