Because they are carnivores. They eat anmals not the food they produce.
they have modified leaves that trap insects inside
Because they trap insects. Examples are Drosera, Utricularia and Napenthes etc.
it is an adaptation todrive away competiton from other plants
Carnivorous plants can be beneficial by controlling populations of pest insects in an ecosystem. They can help in reducing the number of harmful insects around crops or in controlling insect-borne diseases. Some carnivorous plants can also be used for scientific research and have potential medicinal properties, making them valuable resources for pharmaceutical and botanical studies.
Only some dinosaurs were omnivorous. Some were only herbivorous; others were only carnivorous.
There are plants that are carnivorous. Venus fly traps and other carnivorous plants obtain their nitrogen and other mineral by eating insects and sometimes a bigger animal. This seemingly heterotrophic behavior can be observed because they live in a poor-soil region.
The types of carnivorous plants are Nepenthes (tropical pitcher plants), Sarracenia (pitcher plants), Dionaea (venus fly traps), Pinguicula (butterworts), Utricularia (bladderworts), Aldrovanda (waterwheel plants), Drosera (sundews), Cephalotus (australian pitcher plants), Heliamphora (sun pitcher plants) and Genlisea (corkscrew plants). Roridula is carnivorous at one point in it's life, mostly before flowering.
The plants that are currently listed as carnivorous are carnivorous because the soil in which they live in is too poor in nutrients to sustain them for long. They have adapted through evolution to trap and "digest" living organisms to completely sustain them. They require certain substances in the insects around them (such as potassium) that are not present in the soil to produce flowers, which take quite a bit of energy to produce.
There are some carnivorous plants.
Because they are called carnivorous . Carnivorous mean who eat grass or plants,
Venus Fly Trap, Pitcher plants, sundew
Venus fly trap
All animals, carnivorous plants, and some bacteria.
A carnivorous plant is the type of plant that eats bugs. Plants such as butterworts and sundews, corkscrews, flytraps and waterwheels and pitcher plants trap bugs in order to meet nutrient needs that are lacking in the poor soils where they generally grow. The first widely-circulated research on the subject of carnivorous plants was Insectivorous Plants by English naturalist Charles Robert Darwin (Feb. 12, 1809-April 19, 1882).
South Carolina has many swamps and bogs where you can find carnivorous plants. Some of these plants can grow as large as 36 inches high. This site has pictures.https://sites.google.com/site/cypressgardensplantopedia/home/carnivorous-plants
Well the reason why it's hard to classify carnivorous is becauseCarnivorous plants have the most bizarre adaptations to low-nutrient environments. These plants obtain some nutrients by trapping and digesting various invertebrates, and occasionally even small frogs and mammals. Because insects are one of the most common prey items for most carnivorous plants, they are sometimes called insectivorous plants. It is not surprising that the most common habitat for these plants is in bogs and fens, where nutrient concentrations are low but water and sunshine seasonally abundant. As many as thirteen species of carnivorous plants have been found in asinglebog (Folkerts, 1982). Most plants absorb nitrogen from the soil through their roots. But carnivorous plants absorb nitrogen from their animal prey through their leaves specially modified as traps.

Rather than animals there are some carnivorous plants such as: Venus fly Trap, and Carnivorous Fungi which to me is weird!! Then the animals are: Lions , Some bears, like a polar bear, and nematodes which i think live in the ocean
Omnivores, they eat plants and animals.
