In regular Oblivion, the best Light Armour is Glass, and the best Heavy Armour is Daedric.
If you have Shivering Isles installed, Light gains Amber Armour and Heavy gains Madness Armour, both better than Glass and Daedric respectively.
(Light Armor Option) If you specialize in light armor the full glass armor is best.If you have expansion pack Knights of the Nine the crusader armor is best. And if you have Shivering Isles the best armor is perfect amber set.
(Heavy Armor Option) If you specialize in heavy armor the full daedric armor is best. But if you have the expansion pack Shivering Isles the best armor is perfect madness armor.
Therefore best light armor is Perfect Amber Armor Set.
Therefore best heavy armor is Perfect Madness Armor Set.
heck no dude not PERFECT MADNEES ITS GRAND MADNESS ARMOR ITS UNLOCKED AFTER LVL 19 AND BEETING THE MYSTRY QUEST U HAVE TO DO IN SHIVERING ISLE SO GRAND MADNESS IS THE BEST HEAVY ARMOR BTW ITS REALLY HEAVY
the best armor is where you enchant your armor with camelon on five different pieces
i think it depends what level you are, if ur like lvl 60 or more... the defense of some armor is like 18, iof u are lvl 12 or something, the amor defense is like 5 or 6
the best light armor is glass armor and best heavy armor is umbra's armor (you can look for the location on the internet. glass armor is only available in high levels)
Umbra armour, Deadric armour, and Glass armour some would argue that the best armour is deadric but it really depends personally i use deadric that has been enchanted
the best armour in oblivion with out any expantions is dadric if you are heavy armoured if light glass
but you can get better armour in shivering isles I believe but look it up some where cause there are diss advantages
There is no " best armor " as such, although daedric is the best standard heavy armor you can find or buy. However " Daedric " armor is a heavy armor type, and if your into light armor then the best armor would be " Glass " So you see it all really depends on what you want it for. If you were to say what is the most expensive and/or rare, it would probably be something like the " Saviors Hide " which you aquire after completing the daedric shrine side-quest " Hircine " The unicorn Horn.
Normaly it is either glass(light) or Dedric(heavy)
But of you have the expations it will be fine amber amour(light) or fine madness amour(heavy) this does not include *special amour
Either way you'll want armor you enchant, it's better than anything you find. 100% Chameleon is probably the 'best' enchantment since it makes you effectively invincible but it also ruins the game by removing any challenge. I prefer damage reflect, spell reflect, spell absorbtion, damage absorbtion, fortify strength (boosts maximum carrying weight the most, better than feather), and fortify intelligence (more magicka = better spells).
You could also just enchant a set of clothes with nothing but "Shield" which ultimately yields about as much armor as a full set of glass or deadric but you don't have the bonus of having useful enchantments.
*special amour being the amour like holy crusader amour(which is more
To get the best armor simply go get all the bound armor spells. Once you have them go find a bandit or something and use them. Bring a hammer by the way. Let the bandit damage the armor. Then kill the bandit and repair the armor and drop it. wait til the time limit is gone and pick it back up and BOOM. You have weightless armor that is BEAST.
depends on wich type of weapons you use... if u like killing people with blades, maces (close-combat) you should pick Heavy (best = daedric armor) If u like firing a bow or cast spelles, you should try light armor (best = glass armor)
With the Dragon-Born dlc Stalhrim armor is the best, but without the dlc Dragon scale armor is the best. (You obtain Stalhrim armor in caves and crypts throughout solstheim)
Daedric Armor.
You are to heavy; take off some useless items.
Light. Heavy armor might get in the way and weigh you down. Light is much more attractive of course ;). Heavy armor does offer a lot of benefits though.
Don't get this game unless you enjoy no multi player or just single player alone, this game is an RPG set in the world of the elder scrolls,You can become a mage with spells,a heavy with heavy armor and weapons, and there are races to choose from.I suggest this game if you are trying something different,If you like guns,Fallout 3: Game Of the year edition just got its price lowered to about 20-30 dollars oblivion you an get in a pack with Bioshock for cheap at gamestop or wal-mart.
The best armor is Perfect Madness Armor (Heavy),and Perfect Amber Armor (Light).(Must rquire expansion pack Shivering Isles)
There two "best" armor types in Shivering Isles. Perfect Amber is the best light armor, Perfect Madness is the best set of heavy armor.
Daedric armor provides the best defense out of all armor types, but is a heavy armor. Glass is the best light armor.
There is no "best character" but the type i use is a custom class hes a high level here are his stats: Imperial, born under the worrier, with Blade, block, heavy armor, light armor, destruction, and marksman. have fun hope this helps.
No - Light armor is leather, cloth, etc. Plate armor is considered heavy armor.
150-200 pounds
A heavy sword could cut through light armor if it was skillfully used. Glancing blows, light swords, or heavy armor made the sword fairly useless.
Buy peices from certain merchants, such as the heavy armor merchant in the imperial city market district in the shop called The Best Defense. When you are a higher level(around 15 or 20, i think), marauders should start wearing it. Go kill marauders until you get all the peices. Dwarven armor is very easy to find, although it isn't that great for defense and looks stupid.
about 90 lbs.
