Place the coin on the table and put the salt shaker on the coin. Now put the paper napkin on the salt shaker--smooth the napkin down and around the shape of the salt shaker so that the napkin seems to take the shape of the salt shaker. Now make some showy movements and wave your arms on top of the napkin/salt shaker/coin and say some magic words. Slowly pick up the napkin and salt shaker together and say something like "presto!" like you just made the coin disappear--but the coin is still there. Pretend you are disappointed. While your audience is distracted for a second looking at the still present coin, slowly move your hand (the one holding the napkin/salt shaker) over your the side of the table and let the salt shaker quietly drop onto your lap (make sure your audience does not see this--and also make sure you continue to hold the napkin as if there is still a salt shaker inside). Now, apologize to your audience for the messed up coin trick. Place the napkin (which is holding the shape of the salt shaker) back on top of the coin and say something like--"oh, i can never get this right" and slam your hand down on the napkin and say "hey! looks like i was able to make the salt shaker disappear!" Your audience will be so stunned since they were not expecting this at all!
