I've been using Leatherique for years on various leather products. It's mainly targeted at car leather, but I've used it on cars, couches, jackets, and boots with amazing results.

I find the better quality of leather, the better this product works - though the benefits are still realized on splits.

It's a 2-step project... First you condition & wait, which brings the dirt out of the leather to the surface, then you clean and buff. The leather gets extremely supple, almost feels like skin when you're done.

The people at Leatherique have always been great when I contact them with questions.

I think there are a lot of great leather conditioners on the market and quite a few things to consider when selecting the right one for you. I've been using Leather Honey to condition my leather couch for 10 years now with excellent results. It is non-toxic, non-solvent and doesn't contain silicon, which can block the pores of the leather. It is also family owned and operated, unlike some of the larger companies, like Lexol. My other advice would be don't waste any money on a leather cleaner. Cleaning leather is easy enough to do with just a mild soap (like Murphy's) and water.

How long does a leather couch last?

With proper care, a quality leather, unlike fabric upholstery, can be expected to last an average person's lifetime. Look for zipper access which allow you to refill your sofa. Leather can last decades, but seat cushion cores and back bag fill will not. As with most furniture, proper maintenance and regular cleaning are the key to the couch's longevity. Vacuum regularly to remove debris, and use leather wipes to clean the couch and keeping it looking new.
