It depends on the mileage of your crx, my crx has over 257000 miles and burns through a quart every 300 miles, if you are not having any issues just run 5w30, if you have over 75k miles, then run a high mileage oil of your choice in 5w30, also consider running a high mileage oil filter it has additives that help lubricate the moving parts over time. (I actually switched to super tech 5w30 full synthetic and have slowed down my oil consumption oddly enough, it only uses half a quart every 450 miles now)
I put exactly 3.5 quarts that includes the amount it takes to fill the oil filter. Enjoy those oil changes!!!

The type of oil needed for a 1990 Honda CRX Si with the 1.6 liter engine is 10 W 40 or 10 W 30. The oil can be purchased at any auto parts store.
