Many people have their hot water heaters (geysers) in their roofs, however, i dont recommend this, namely, if the hot water heater bursts and the overflow tray is not piped correctly, the water from the hot water heater flows out the tray and damages ceiling, walls, cupboards, carpets and clothing. The best place to install a hot water heater would be either in the garage or hanging it on the wall outside.

They tend to be pretty expensive but having the comfort of heated water in your own home is well worth the asking price. Any reputable plumber or Plumbing agency would be able to do it in a timely fashion and do a wonderful job as well.
