What is the best semi automatic handgun?

I personally liked my Glock G32 best (.357). I also had a .40 cal Glock, and 9mm Berretta long barrel and H & K .45

I've never been the best trained shooter, so I wasn't able to handle recoil well for the .40 and .45 handguns, plus in watching a weapons video where they did a lot of testing, the larger caliber handgun bullets typically shoot at a lower velocity and given the bullet size, may not penetrate your target depending on what other obstacles are in the way (i.e. a car or wall). The 9mm berretta was awesome and accurate but it was (still legal in CA at the time) a 15 round clip and the long barrel made it something a person couldn't really walk around with comfortably. The Glock G32 (G31 is the large .357 and G33 is the ultra compact .357) was small enough to carry around, held 10 bullets in the mag (CA law applies), and fit my hand perfectly. The G31 would have been too large for carrying and the G33 would have been less accurate because of the shorter barrel and the handle not accommodating my hand size. I like the .357 cal size because it doesn't cause the same level of recoil, it is a mid size bullet, but also because the gunpowder in the shell is actually .38 size but powering a smaller projectile, you get high velocity that can pierce what larger caliber handguns may not be able to. Never got a chance to test Desert Eagles, but they also have .357 and the .44 cor bon which also applies the higher gunpowder ratio to bullet size. They are probably more accurate than the Glock but if you are looking for something to carry around, there is a size issue. They also cost about twice as much. Hope this helped.
