i have a beta fish and it looks pregnant i dont know anything about this fishes a saved them when they were killing them at my job from a the left overs from a wedding the sack is verry big and looks like its going to explode
They will get about 2 inches in length and about 1 inch in width.

not any bigger than female beta fish.trust me ive had one of each.
I bought two male beta fish in May of 2006, and they did not grow much at all, if any, while I had them. The red one may have grown a little. He was always somewhat bigger than the blue one. When they were accidentally able to see each other, they went nose to nose up against the sides of their tanks, and I could see that "Red" was a much larger fish than "Blue". (Their tanks were always next to each other, but I kept a divider between them so they could not see one another.) Red had always eaten more than blue, and had even seemed to be more alert and intelligent than Blue. Cathy

∙ 12y agoi want to know what size tank i should put my male betta for one betta itself usually they like at least a 2.5 gallon the best for one but its your choice they like bigger tanks but this is the one i prefer!

∙ 9y agoAn 5-8 litre tank is a good size. You don't want a really small tank as your Betta will be crammed an won't be happy and live a shorter life. If you are buying a tank for a male you don't want to have a really big tank as betta fish live in shallow streams in small holes. Be sure to have some gravel as it stops the poo from floating in the tank. You want to do an 80% water change each week if you don't have a filter. If you have a filter only a 50% water change each week. A suggest plant to buy for betta fish to lower the level of ammonia and nitrite levels would be Java Moss, these plants feed off the poo which keeps that water cleaner.

i dont know a single fish in a Betta bowl but i do know what u can put in their and have less cleaning. I have 2 zebra fish and a snail in a little large bowl but i dont have a lot of work because the snail cleans the bottom of the tank. or 2 guppies and a snail :P
Why does the Betta fish rub itself against the glass of the tank?
It depends in how long you have had your betta. When you first get any type of fish then they will try to get out of your tank by bumping the side of the tank and then they will swim down and try to escape from your tank. After about a night they will stop and they will realize that your tank is only the size that it is and they can not awim any further.
