*78 (F) is the Magic number, they say ever degree below this temperature increases your electric bill 4-5%. The EPA standard is @ 6:00 am - 78 degrees, 8:00 am - 85 degrees (seems high, but most people at work) 6:00 pm 78 degrees & 10:00 pm - 82 degrees (when your sleeping). If you get hot turn on fans or ceiling fans, can decrease temp up to 4 degrees, also closing blinds (darking out rooms) during daylight hours can save you 10-20% on your electric bill. *Hope this helps save you money.
