dwarf hamsters can only live on aspen wood chips, because they are allergic to other wood such as pine, cedar, etc. types such as the chinese dwarf and robo dwarf hamster are especially allergic to anything other than aspen because their natural habitat is the gobi desert, and not in a woody area
The best kind of wood to use is shaven these aren't chips they are shaven. They are real wood and smell better.
It depends on the size and quality of the wood chips.
Dwarf hamsters tend to nip more and can live with multiple hamsters in a cage.
change the cage every 2 weeks and if you use the wrong kind of wood chips then before your hamster dies it will loose all it fur and get cuts and it will get mean p.s. it happened to my first hamster
a hamster cage
The best kind of cage you can get for your hamster is a wire cage with a plastic bottom. It is well ventilated and the hamster can climb.
If they are Roborofskis or Winter Whites, then the answer is a definite yes. These dwarf hamsters are very social, and require the company of at least one of their own kind. However, do not put two different species of dwarf hamsters in the same cage. They will fight. Also, unless you intend to breed, only put hamsters of the same gender in one cage, or else you'll have a hamster population explosion! Also, do not put a Syrian with a dwarf hamster.
Yes, the dwarf hamster is the only kind of hamster that the babies can be with the male and female. He can actually help raise the babies.
It might be a winter white or a Russian dwarf or a robo hamster.
a warm blanket in a cage
I would say and dwarf hamster any kind there cheaper and they wont chew the bars of your hamster cage they are really cute. but do not get two and try not to let them escape your hands. They are really fast runners that's why i got the teddy bear hamster because they come in cute colors and they don't bite as much and you can get more than one. =)
Its a small or kind of big cage with a plastic bottom and wire top. You put bedding in it and toys. Then a hamster. Go on google images and you can see one. Wow dude. You didn't know that? What part didn't you get? HAMSTER, OR CAGE??????? Yea I'm sorry but that was a gay question. Whats a hamster cage? Really!
the best cage for a hamster (if you have a cat) would be a plastic one not a wire cage. but still keep the cage away from your cat as much as you can so the cat doesn't knock it over or something.
It depends on the kind of hamster. Some kinds get along better with others than other hamsters do. My hamster is a Dwarf hamster , they get along good with other hamsters. To be safe , don't keep them in the same cage. Let them smell each other. If they seem like they're okay with each other then put them in the same cage. If you see ANY SIGN of fighting separate them.
