How many ounces or in a gallon?

Ounces is a measure of mass, gallon is a measure of volume. So, the answer would depend on the density of the substance. For example, a gallon of a perfect vacuum has zero mass; a gallon of matter in a neutron star has a mass of millions of tons.Ounces is a measure of mass, gallon is a measure of volume. Pool not running for 2 years inground do you drain or is that bad?

Vacuum the pool. If you have to drain it, only drain it half way. Floating pools are a disaster.

How do you hook up manuel vacuum hose for an inground pool?

You should have a vacuum plate with a hole in it for the he hose to be plugged into. The vacuum plate is a disc shaped object that fits over the leaf basket in the pools static skimmer box. If you cant find one you may have to get one from a pool shop.

How much does one gal of water weigh in a vacuum?

Nothing; the vacuum renders it weightless however the mass stays proportionate to the volume, in this case 1 gallon.

Can gunite be added to reduce the interior depth of your pool?

A gunite pool shell IS waterproof before plastering. First, gunite/shotcrete is not water proof. The reason for the plaster is to make the pool water proof. You don't have to and should not water proof gunite because it will affect the bonding properties for the plaster. Contrary to the previous answer, Gunite is in fact "waterProof" when correctly applied. Unless there are improperly prep'd cold-joints (the point at which one application has stopped for some reason -perhaps rain, slow truck turnaround, etc- and begun at a later time), a Gunite pool could virtually be "painted", providing a high steel-trowel finish was applied to the Gunite. But, Gunite pops (begins to set and cure) faster than typically appied Marblite or Diamond Bright type cementitious finishes. Actually, the Gunite "finish" surface is purposely left fairly rouch, providing a better surface to which the finish/color material may bond.

Where is the vacuum modulator on a 85 buick regal?

It is located on the rear of the transmission. Should be round and have a vacuum hose attached to the middle of it.

How do you clean an inground fiberglass pool that has 6 inches of mud in the bottom from a flood if you can't drain it?

You need to vacuum the mud to waste. ie: vacuum not through your filter as you normally would, but using a separate pump and discharging vacuumed mud/water to waste (somewhere other than back into the pool).

How does a street sweeper work?

It's basically a big vacuum cleaner. The gutter brooms bring everything into the middle, and it's sucked up by vacuum.

We can't get our manual vacumn to work on our inground swimming pool?

Assuming that you have the correct vacuum plate covering the leaf basket there can be a couple of things that you need to look out for. # sometimes there is an other pipe leading into the leaf basket area below the vacuum plate. The vacuum plate is made in such a way that it needs to be positioned correctly to cover this pipe otherwise you will end up with very little suction through the vacuum hose. # The seal that holds the vacuum plate in place is inadequate. # there is more then 1 skimmer box, if there is one of them needs to be sealed of while the vacuuming is done.
