Film making and editing is a very demanding process. At the very least, you will need some form of camera if you are doing live-action video, because this does not have a built-in webcam. For more powerful editing, you might be better off looking at a powerful desktop. Also, I've heard that Macs have a better reputation for their video and music editing software and hardware, so you might be better off with a Macbook.
