When switching a dog's food, you need to do the switch slowly. For example, if you feed you dog 1 cup of food a meal, when you start the switch you should feed your dog 3/4 of a cup of the old food and 1/4 of the new food. After a week and a half, switch to half and half. After another week and a half, switch to 1/4 old food, 3/4 new food. After the final week and a half switch to all of the new food.
