It depends on what the test is looking for. If the test looks for THC then you will test positive for 6-12 hours after your body stopped ingesting cannabinoids (so if you eat a cookie 12 hours before a saliva test you're probably boned because cookies last longer)

∙ 14y agoI am not positive about the mechanism. But I imagine using alcohol MIGHT help, since THC is alcohol soluble. It sure beats swishing olive oil around your mouth [THC is also fat soluble]. But, you shouldn't be driving while smoking pot. Because that's the only time they will give you such a test. They don't do this randomly on people.
