First - don't start the engine !!!!! Drain the oil from the oil pan ( and the antifreeze with it ) Pour a little bit of new/clean engine oil in the engine a couple of times and let it drain out Put the drain plug in and add oil to the engine ( the filter still has oil in it so you won't need to add as much as when you do an oil and filter change ) Use your dipstick to check the oil level
If the reservoir is blocking the way, then it will have to be removed.
Depending on what, you may have to remove the tank to clean it, you may have to replace the motor if it is run.
An antifreeze leak.An antifreeze leak.
Yes
Dexcool
under hood remove antifreeze overflow jug and windshield washer jug look towards fire wall follow wires remove two screws
This is used to keep the motor from overheating and from freezing. Thus the name "antifreeze" and "coolant".
If there is motor oil in the antifreeze reservoir there is a good chance there is also antifreeze in the motor oil. This condition is probably the result of a bad head gasket or a cracked head. Antifreeze mixing with motor oil is a recipe for disaster for the engine. Have a trusted mechanic diagnose the situation soon as possible to hopefully avoid even more costly repairs.
Could be oil mixing with antifreeze indicating a bad head gasket Are you losing motor oil?
The water pump will pump coolant(antifreeze & water) through the engine after the thermostat opens up.
If you drive with no antifreeze in your radiator you could ruin the motor. At a minimum you would probably blow a head gasket. The worse thing that can happen is that the motor will freeze up.
