Okay- I own a Ford Escort LX, 1994 4-dr, and for all my problems, and help I use this forum site called feoa.net (Ford escort owners association), look under "engine swap" and either look for the biggest engine, or post your own topic. It's an amazing site,
Only the 1.9 L engine.
Try searching online. Im in need of a mirror for my 1998 ford escort and i found one that way.
i think the biggest engine you could fit in a 1993 ford escort gt 1.8 is a 1998 ford escort zx2 2.0 turbo engine with intake manifold and coilovers to get hp that you can actually manage in the car. but then you would have to completely redo the wiring harness from a zx2 to a 93 escort and get the transmission from the zx2 to fit also in the 93 escort, with the right motor mounts youll be set.
From Ford Escort 1991 Operating guide Fuel Tank U.S. Capacity 1.9L engine 11.9 gals. 1.8L engine 13.2 gals.
"How to set timing on 1991 ford escort lx 1.9?"
How do you enable anti theft alarm on 1991 ford escort lx
According to one of Fords websites : For a 1991 Ford Escort : 1.9 liter four cylinder engine ( the spark plugs are gapped at .054 inch ) 1.8 ( .044 inch )
i have a 1992 ford escort lx 1.9l. will a 1995 ford escort engine fit. and what would have to replace.
I believe the Ford Escort 1.9L engine is non-interference.
I was looking at one of the Ford websites and it shows for the automatic transaxle ( transmission ) used with the 1.9 litre four cylinder engine in a 1991 Ford Escort : ( yes , Motorcraft FT-123 filter inside the transaxle pan )
yes
Yes, the engine in a 2000 Escort is NOT an interference engine.
