426 hemi or a 440 would fit real nice with no problem, a 572 crate hemi will also fit.
they never built a 64 charger as the 66 was the first year, they built a prototype car in 64 that was called a charger but it had a turbine engine.
Yes it will fit but you will probably have to use weld in or bolt in engine plates to mount the engine to the car.
Back in 66 and 67 the sister car was the coronet but in 68 the charger took on it's own identity.
A 302 will fit with no modifications. I believe it is possible to shoehorn a 351 in with some mods.
no, it's too wide.
It means that it has the hemi engine, back in 66 when the 426 hemi engine was installed in the dodge line it was the hottest engine going at the time, if you had a hemi under the hood you were feared and not many others with high performance cars would mess with you unless they wanted to get beat.

No, it's to wide, the largest that will fit is the 351w
1966 was the first year of production chargers, I had one back then.
Check out "dodge charger registry" website or the "66-67 charger website" for history on the ORIGINAL Chargers. & remember; "real Chargers don't have 4 doors!"
the fold down panel unlocks from the inside of the trunk.
