Ok first off, when are you Americans going to learn that Canada has Provinces, NOT states. British Columbia's Provincal bird is the Stellar's Jay, but is comonly confused even here as a Blue Jay, probably because of the steller's jay marking of blue and black. Blue Jays are white chested and have more interesting markings on their wings body and head.

Canadians do not go by States as a division of the country, but Provinces. The Provinical Bird of British Columbia is the Steller's Jay
