but a while ago it wasn't there because an orange bar came out when you loaded the gun
and went back into the gun when you shot it but people stuck there fingers on the orange bar and hurt themselves so the Nerf company put the black part there.
i hate the people that did that because the recon looked cooler without the black part.

what happened to it? If it is jammed, screw off the black thing on the end of the gun (not the stock of the gun). Then make sure the spring is all the way in. If not push it in. If this is your problem, then i would leave the black thing off. Even though you wont be able to use the stock, it is a lot faster to fix that ways, so that if you are in a war, you can just push the spring on and keep shooting. WARNING: With the black thing off it can suck in your skin when you shoot

for the bandolier, many like to use the clips on the end of the bandolier, and attach one to one of the slits where you can place darts, leaving the other clip free to hook through one of the spaces on a nerf gun. on guns like the recon, it is at the bottom of the handle, which is quite common in nerf blasters.

All silencers are simply baffled tubes placed on the end of the firearm. A Nerf gun doesn't have much sound coming out of the end. I would think that the action of the Nerf gun makes more noise than the firing of the projectile. In that case, the silencer wouldn't help you anyways.

What is better orange mod works or xplorer for nerf recon upgrades?
The Orange Mod Works kit is much better value for the money and the Massacre kit for the Recon has none of the issues associated with the metal kit 1 and 2. You can expect at least 90-100 feet per second at the muzzle after installing the kit. As for xplorer they do have some pretty cool stuff but they do not make a breech/plunger, boltsled, and trigger catch combo for the Recon. You could probably piece together xplorer parts to get something like the OMW kit but it would end up costing over $100.

Finally, there are rumors that you could get recon amor if you get all the achivement in the new halo game called Halo ODST, however that game will be coming out in Fall 2009. Yes, A. K. A. Halo Recon. It is just an expansion to Halo 3 though, where you play as one of the semi - spartans. Actually halo3 ODST is set at the same time as halo3 because the war finishes at the end of halo3 and ODST isn't recon its orbital drop shock trooper. You get recon by completing the campaign.
