I normally put a small amount ouf silicone sealer on the intake gaskets before I put them on the heads so as to keep them in place when I lower the manifold down. These instructions will work on any v-8 or v-configured motor (6,4,etc.) Install all bolts finger tight. Count bolts on one side only! If even, number like even description. same if odd. Using torque wrench, tighten 1,1-2,2-3,3-4,4-etc.Go back over at same setting, increase setting and repeat 1,1-2,2-3,3-------- First setting should be around 15 ft-lbs second should be about 25 ft- lbs. The objective is to have EVEN pressure all the way around the manifold so the gaskets can do their job off sealing. Hope this helps. If not , 210 635 7197 Nick P.S. Always call the dealership and get recommended torque settings.. Even number Odd number 5 6 7 6 3 4 5 4 2 1 3 2 1 2 1 1 4 3 2 3 6 5 4 5 6 7 The last time I posted this, the illustration with the bolt numbers got messed up so I am trying to edit it again. If it is still messed up, call me and I will try to talk you through it.. Sorry bout that!!
