The hock of the cat is located between the tibia, or shin, and the talus bone, which is a bone of the paw. The cat's hock joint is comparable to a human ankle joint.
The patella is not connected directly with another bone, (its not a bone to bone connection), but it does connect via ligaments. It connects to the femur and the tibia of the leg bones

It is the triangular bone which is at the front between your ankle and your knee.
Your tibia is what would be considered your shin bone.
Fibula or Calf bone is a bone placed on the lateral side of the tibia, with which it is connected above and below. It is the smaller of the two bones, and, proportion to its length, the most slender of all the long bones. Its upper extremity is small, placed toward the backbone of the head of the tibia, below the level of the knee-joint and excluded from the formation of the joint.
All of the bones in the foot (phalanges, metatarsals, and tarsals), the tibia and femur are weight bearing bones. The fibula, which lies next to the tibia in the lower leg is not a weight bearing bone.
There are two bones between the knee and the ankle, the tibia and the fibula.
The anterior crest is prominent bone feature on the tibia. It is often called the shin.
because it is the bone that makes your shin your shin.
The tibia is a long bone.
