The bottommost corner is XFD1048576. It took a while, but I went to 1000000 and held enter until it stopped and there was grey at the bottom.

Yes you can Click the block in the left upper corner between Column A and Row 1. Then right click and copy.
By clicking on the X Button on the top right corner of the Excel Window.

A user will be able to read your comments when they click on the cell with comments. You can tell a cell has comments, because you will see a small red triangle in the top right corner of the cell.
