There are no bridges across the Amazon River. This is mainly because there is insufficient road traffic to justify the cost, and in some places bridges would seriously conflict with the ecosystems of the river.

Because there is too much wildlife living in the amazon river, and if we were to build a bridge, A) it would take a really long time, and that would disrupt the wildlife in the river, and B) it wouldn't really do much good because not very many people cross the river on a daily basis. +++ :-) Bridges are built only where necessary to serve roads or railways themselves only built where necessary and practicable!
