36000 btus also referred to as 3 ton.
It is a 1-1/2 ton: 18000 BTU (unit size)/12,000 BTU (per ton)=1.5
Looks to me like 30,000 BTU or 2 Tons of cooling @400 CFM per Ton
One ton =12,000 btu's. A 5 ton unit would provide 60,000btuh of cooling. lc Refrigeration is the ability to remove heat. Like anything else distance, weight, temperature etc. there is a need to measure it. Tonnage is the unit of measure used to express refrigeration capacity.
A ton of refrigeration is defined as the amount of heat removal required to change one ton of water (2000 pounds) at 32 degrees F to one ton of ice at 32 degrees F in one day which is 288000 BTUs. Today it is assumed that BTU ratings are by the hour, so one ton of refrigeration is the removal of 1200 BTU/hr. So if your air conditioning unit is removing 108000 BTUs/hr it is a 108000/12000 or 9 ton machine.
35kW is 119,424.97 BTU/hr
two tons.
Should be 3 ton. 12,000 btu = 1 ton.
3 ton / 36,000 BTU's
5 ton /60,000 btu's
36000 btu (3 tons)
Tonnage means the about something weighs or the amount of BTU’s a unit puts out. . The lennox model HS19-311U-2p is a 2.5 ton unit and has a tonnage of 2.5 BTU's.
I have the same unit. It is a 3 ton unit 36000 BTU. manufacture year 1987.
24000 BTU = 2 Ton.
tempstar 5000 model CA5548VKD2 Tonnage??? The 48 before the VKD in the model number stands for 48000, BTU. For refrigeration, 1 Ton = 12000 BTU. Therefore 48000 BTU / 12000 (1 Ton) = 4 Tons
It is 36000 BTU / 12000 (1 ton) = 3.0 ton
Best I can tell from the model number is three (3) Ton. The no. 36 in the model number stands for 36,000 btu's. There is 12,000 btu's per ton.
34,000 BTU's
