It depends on the engine type. On a 2.0 Petrol the recommended mileage to change the belt is 72,000mls, but you can always change it before.
I would recommend between 80-100 thousand km. 4 years or 60,000 miles whichever comes first.
Mercedes is real good about putting that info in the owner's manual. I have a 2007 CLS 550 coupe and all that info is available in the manual(s).
