Rodgers did not complete/graduate from college, but he attented University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley, Cal, California, etc.).
UC Berkeley is the flagship campus of the University of California system. It was established in 1868 by a merger of the College of California and the Agricultural, Mining, and Mechanical Arts College in Oakland.
This question is a bit vague but I'll interpret is as "are there black students at UC Berkeley?" Of course there are black students at UC Berkeley. However, there are a smaller group of them than, say, Asian students at Cal. They bring just as much to the campus as everybody else, though.

If by Cal you mean Berkeley, then somewhat yes. UCLA and UC Berkeley are two of the ten University of California campuses. Each works independent of the other. These two schools are generally considered the best of the UC campuses in college rankings with Berkeley coming out on top.
