The Catch All category are the questions that violate the Answers.com Terms of Use. They are protected questions on the site which contains several alternates that all share a common attribute - it doesn't belong on Answers.com

When you trash a question it is recategorized into one of the catch-all categories. This way when a user asks the question again it won't be let loose on the site again. Instead the user will receive a protected answer educating them about our guidelines.

If you have a question about the catch-all questions, please read our trashing guidelines (link below).

How do you move a question out of the catch-all category?

There are only a few users who are capable of properly recategorizing a question out of the catch-all category. If you see a question that is in the catch-all category -- whether it's due to accidental categorization or splitting an alternate from a catch-all -- not to worry. The questions in the catch-all category are reviewed regularly and frequently; should there be question(s) that don't belong, they will be removed in due time.

When asking questions on WikiAnswers should you categorize your questions in the Catch-All Questions category?

The only reason you should ever categorize any question into the Catch-All Questions category is if the question you found was a question that which violates WikiAnswers' Terms of Use policy. The Terms of Use information is linked in the footer of every page on WikiAnwers on the left hand side. It is the first link in the second row of links in the footer of every page (and it is also linked in the Related Links for this Q&A). You should not categorize these types of questions into the Catch-All Questions category if it is the answer that which violates our Terms of Use - it should just be the question itself that which violates them. While many users believe that categorizing his or her questions into the Catch-All Questions category will be more likely to be viewed, it is highly unlikely that his or her questions will receive a quick, proper, and accurate answer while in that category. Most likely, your question will only be recognized as long as it takes to categorize it into another category (far, far away from the Catch-All Questions category) by a supervisor. It may even be edited into proper grammar and without misspellings if it contains any or merged into an existing question that is asking for the same information as it is.Any and all questions will be removed from the Catch-All Questions category immediately if they do not belong within one of the catch-all questions themselves for protection (ie, a violation of the WikiAnswers' Terms of Use). So, it is pointless to waste your time putting your questions into the Catch-All Questions category. For best results, you should place your question into up to three categories that are directly related to your question so that another user who is interested in the subject of your question will find it much more quickly and easily and will provide you with a timely answer.
