What are some causes of children continuous eye blinking?

I have a son who has this problem, and I asked him if there was anything stressing him out. He didn't seem to think there was anything new in his life that was causing it. I told him he should wear his glasses more often, he commented now you are stressing me out not only are my eyes going to twitch, but my nose and ears may also!

This could be because of something irritating it. That is the most common cause for blinking the eye. (This gets rid of dirt in the eye)

There are some fysiological problems that can cause excessive blinking.

If it is something he/she has started with most recently, then dont worry about it.

If it has always been that way, then take him to the healthstation and have them check him/her up.

It might be called something like nervous ticks, but it does not imply that there is anything wrong with your toddler.

We are all born different and are ment to be different.

One only eat mustard on a saussage, another only eat ketchup, a third may want both.

Same with eyes, some blinks more frequent than others. although mostly both eyes together.

I think some dirt or even a tiny scratch on the actual eye is what causes your 3 year old to blink more on the one eye.

This will pass in a few days at most and if in doubt, then see a doctor.

If a child is continually blinking, there is something wrong. They may be having problems with their vision and need to see a physician.
