Usually the term glucosuria is used to indicate glucose in the urine.

First off, it is "Glucosuria" without an "e" in it. Came directly out of my medical assistant text book I'm currently reading. Second off, glucosuria is high concentration of glucose in the urine which occurs in people with diabetes mellitus. Hope this clarifies things. If anyone one would like to add on to this they are more then welcome to:)

If glucose is not reabsorbed from the proximal convoluted tubule, it will continue into the loop of Henle and eventually be excreted in the urine. This condition is known as glucosuria, and it may indicate underlying health issues such as uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
Glucose is typically reabsorbed by the kidneys and does not appear in urine under normal circumstances. However, if blood glucose levels are too high (hyperglycemia), the kidneys may not be able to reabsorb all the glucose, leading to its presence in the urine (glucosuria). This can be a sign of conditions like diabetes.
Glucose is primarily reabsorbed in the kidneys rather than excreted. In healthy individuals, nearly all glucose filtered through the kidneys is reabsorbed in the proximal tubules. However, when blood glucose levels exceed a certain threshold, such as in uncontrolled diabetes, excess glucose is excreted in the urine. This process occurs due to the saturation of glucose transporters, leading to glucosuria.
Three substances that are considered abnormal urinary constituents include glucose, protein, and bilirubin. The clinical term for the presence of glucose in urine is glucosuria, for protein is proteinuria, and for bilirubin is bilirubinuria. The detection of these substances can indicate underlying medical conditions, such as diabetes mellitus, kidney disease, or liver dysfunction.
The presence of 100 mg of glucose in urine can be considered elevated, as normal urine typically contains little to no glucose. Glucosuria, or glucose in urine, may indicate conditions such as diabetes mellitus, where blood glucose levels are high enough to exceed the kidney's reabsorption capacity. If glucose is detected in urine, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation.
Glucosuria and glycosuria are terms for sugar in the urine. Gluco- and Glyco- = sugar -uria= pertaining to urine.
