The "slime" is usually nothing more than bile and mucus from the intestines, excess can be a sign of Irritable bowel syndrome, food intolerance's, excess acid/reflux but most often it is caused by constipation or a low fibre/junk food diet, if there is blood present then go and see a doctor ASAP, it usually means only a minor ailment like haemorrhoid's but very rarely it can be a sign of cancer - best to be safe than sorry.
