Coelenterates are animals, to be more precise invertebrates (no backbone).

They have a hollow Body

Tentacles with stinging cells

One body opening (mouth and anus)

May live stuck to the rock or floating

May live alone or in groups called colonies.

Examples: Jellyfish, Sea Anemone, Coral

You may think that coral s a plant, but if you do, you are wrong as coral is an animal, a vertebrate, a coelenterate.

Hope this helps, it sure helped me because i have a science exam tomorrow and it helped me study.

Thanks
