Cheapest time for Caribbean cruises

The least expensive cruise fares can generally be found for sailings which occur during the period between Labor Day and Thanksgiving and between Thanksgiving and Christmas. However, any time most kids are in school is likely to be less expensive than other times of the year. Despite the hurricane season, summer is NOT the best time since kids are out of school and it's prime vacation time. After Labor Day, the kids are back in school, demand drops considerably and thus the prices drop during September and October. Also note that September is the peak time of the hurricane season. You may also opt for the promos and discounts that they give for early birds. Some people reserve their ticket a few months, some even year, before the cruise to save more money.

It is recommended that travelers research current weather patterns to determine if a tropical storm is forming. A large storm or hurricane could ruin a Caribbean cruise. Trip insurance is also recommended.

Ireland's weather is mixed, but July is usually good. As you get nearer tot the Caribbean, as it is hurricane season at that time of the year, there is a small chance of hurricanes, but a cruise would avoid them and keep to where the weather was best.

AnswerAvoid hurricane season, which tends to be June - November. Before or after, you can expect great weather and smooth sailing!

It might be kind of hot, but no more so than most of the rest of the year, since the temperature stays pretty much the same. Cruises will be cheaper in May, because schools aren't out yet. But if you enjoy good time under the sun, it is pretty much a great time to cruise to the Caribbean.

the cheapest time of the year is usually the time when not everyone is trying to go, so that might be winter, depending on the area of which u live. Another good time to go is after something big happened, like after 9/11, airline tickets were easy to get, and for a good price! "off season", meaning the time of year that nobody else wants to go.

User Avatar

............. The best time to take a cruise really depends on where you want to cruise. The fall and winter months are best for cruising in the Caribbean and the Pacific coast of Mexico. It's also a good time of year to cruise to Southeast Asia and Australia / New Zealand (it will be summer there when it's winter here). The summer is the best time to cruise to Alaska and to cruise along the coastlines in Europe. Fall is great for cruising along the northeastern coast of the US to see the changing foliage. Cruising is good at any time of year, it just depends on where you would like to go.

More towards spring time. Typically March-June. Therefore, you won't be facing cold temperatures nor extreme heat. Also you won't have to worry about the occurence of a possible hurricane.. depending on the locations of your cruise.

There are festivals and conventions year-round. Mardi Gras will always be the busiest time of year, but there really is no "cheapest time" to visit. Get your tickets in advance.
