Gosh man not everything is about you and your silly car! I have problems of my own to deal with without worrying about your stupid icon above your dumb fuel gauge so don't be asking me about it!
Try hitting the dashboard directly above the fuel gauge. A nice thump might release a gauge one a Volvo.

Check your fuses in your fuse block you should have a fuse that says "gauges". If you fuses check good take it to a mechanic shop.
There are certain car gauges which are mandatory to have in a dashboard. These gauges are the speedometer, the temperature gauge, the fuel gauge, the tachometer, oil pressure gauge, charging system gauge, and odometer.

Usually the gauge in on the dashboard with all the other gauges. That way you can read it while driving.
Your first place to look would be the fuse panel. If everything there is ok, you'll probably have to remove the gauge panel and check the bulbs there.
