Depends on what you are referring to. A Colombian boa constrictor (commonly called Colombian red-tail but are in fact not red-tails) has saddles and a dark brown tail. A Colombian rainbow boa is a dull-brown snake with circles along it's side and back with stripes on their head, and have a very shiny skin hence it's name.

i don't know about the red tail boa or the Brazilian rainbow but i do got a ball python and his name is Lil foot i know its weird lol but i like him hes is my first snake and i think he is wonderful don't know if i answered this late but if u haven't chosen anything yet i would go with the boll python.
