Cold Temperate
The climate determines a place's natural characteristics. Temerate settings are not very warm, but not very cold, and so they have a moderate climate. Organisms that rely on this moderate climate flourish in temperate forests. Temperate forests are found in eastern North America, northeastern Asia, and western and central Europe. Well-defined seasons with a distinct winter characterize this forest biome, which has a growing season of 140-200 days during its' 4-6 frost-free months.
Temperate forests are in the Northern Hemisphere and normally show very distinct and dramatic seasonal changes, e.g. it will go from 30 degrees Centigrade in the summer, to -10 degrees Centigrade in the winter.
