Most of the year the United Arab Emirates has very hot months with it reaching it hottest by July when the weather easily can almost reach 50c. May onwards until September/October the months are hot and humid.
From October and sometimes earlier-depending- the cooler months begin with cooler evenings before turning into full cooler days and last until March-April. During this time people may switch off their air conditioners with it being cooler indoors.
Towards the end of these cooler months, there will be very foggy mornings and i evenings too. Then there will be quite a few sandstorms. This year 2011, just recently the UAE experience some really stronger sandstorms than it usually has in previous years. The sand will pick up off the ground, swirls and lifts into the air making hazy conditions. This also has a health impact.
The UAE is also affected by fall outs from other neighboring Arabian Gulf countries' weather such as sandstorms and strong winds.
April is an unusual month- a transition month is what I personally call it- a final bout of mixed weather, fog, showers, thunderstorms and sandstorms. Then it gradually begins the cycle again.
