You don't specify the coefficient of friction for "glass", or from "wood", etc.; you specify the coefficient of friction between a PAIR of substances, sometimes also including any substance in between, such as lubricants. For example, you would specify the coefficient of friction:* Between glass and glass (dry) * Between glass and glass (wet) * Between glass and wood * Between wood and wood * Between tiles and leather (this might be interesting, since shoes are often made out of leather) etc.
