coil---3---4
pack--2---6
plug---1---5
I was looking at fordparts.com and it shows the same part number ( Motorcraft DGE - 446 ) for the six tower coil pack on a 1994 Ford Explorer 4.0 liter OHV engine as the 4.0 liter OHV or SOHC engines in a 1998 Ford Explorer , so apparently the answer is YES
On a Ford 4.0 liter V6 engine ( SOHC and OHV versions ) The 6 coil pack towers are numbered : coil-----3 - 4 pack----2 - 6 plug-----1 - 5 ( I believe there are stickers on the coil pack showing the tower numbers ) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also , the engine cylinder locations are numbered : firewall 3 - 6 2 - 5 1 - 4 Front of Ford Explorer Sport Trac , 4.0 litre , SOHC , V6 engine
Under the hood, way in back, passenger side, on the strut tower.
On a 1997 Mercury Sable : For the 3.0 liter VULCAN , V6 engine : The power steering fluid reservoir is near the front of the engine compartment , just to the left of the engine oil dipstick ( when looking into the engine compartment from the front of the vehicle ) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Also , the 3.0 DURATEC has the reservoir near the passenger side strut tower in the engine compartment
The 4 cylindar engine was originally invinted by Tripp Tower.

I believe it's a goat
On a 1999 Ford Escort : For the 2.0 liter Single Over Head Cam four cylinder engine The 4 towers on the coil pack are numbered : ( 4 ) - ( 3 ) ( 1 ) - ( 2 ) coil pack plug ( the tower numbers should be raised by the 4 bolt holes ) * the SOHC 2.0 liter engine uses the Motorcraft DG-435 coil pack on your 1999 Ford Escort * ( the engine firing order is 1 - 3 - 4 - 2 )
