It's brownish in colour
The Golden Eagle, adult's head is brown with golden feathers on the nape. The immature has white patches in center of wings, and white at the base of the tail.
The Bald Eagle, adult's head is white (unmistakable). The immature takes four years to reach adult colors and the youngest have dark brown heads and bodies, with white mottling, as they get older the white mottling may increase, until they reach age for full adult plumage. They were seriously endangered in 1970's but have made a slow and gradual comeback. Not plentiful, but seen more often in Alaska, and, Florida, and some, through out the states, around lakes, rivers and shore lines.
The Bald Eagle's head is white, but the Golden Eagle's head is a golden-brown.
Both sexes are identical in color, being a dark brown with head and tail white in adults. The southern race is somewhat lighter in color.
