Since the Buddha did not claim to be God or a representative of God, there are no commandments as such in Buddhism. However, practicing Buddhists do practice the Five Noble Precepts:

  1. Not killing
  2. Not stealing
  3. Abstaining from sexual misconduct (e.g. adultery)
  4. Not lying
  5. Not drinking alcohol
