While the Amish and the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) have verydifferent lifestyles and religious beliefs, they have similar views on family and health care.

Both believe in strong family values and believe that family members should be close and work together for their livelihood. They also focus on more traditional family roles, that the woman's primary focus should be on the home and children, and the man's primary focus should be on providing materials and money to care for the home and children, usually by working outside the home.

Both also believe in using modern health care when needed, but coupling that modern health care with prayers and faith.
