Where is the crank shaft sensor located on a 2002 grand am 2.2 l ecotech engine
1.6 Ecotech VVT made in Korea
GM 4 cyl ecotech engine
because a diesel engine ignites its fuel with pressure, and not with a spark like a petrol engine. that is why a petrol engine does not need as high a compression ratio as a diesel engine
Usually between 16:1 and 22:1
5 Qts
Chain
Mine is on a 03 plate ,and it does not have an E.G.R Valve..
No the compression in a Gasoline is only 8 to 1 in a Diesel it is 22 to 1 so it would blow up
EcoTech is an emission technology implemented on GM's diesel and petrol engines.
From everything that I have read about this, the engine mounting and the amount of room that the engine requires, the engine will fit in. However on saying that it was also stated that while the engine will fit, the electronics that go with the ecotec will not. Therefore, while the engine replacement will not be exceptionally hard you will have to go through all of the electrical to make sure that everything in your car still works.
