Corned beef comes from the brisket, once the cow is slaughtered, the brisket is then removed and brine-cured.
yes
The beef is corn fed. Corn fed beef. Corned beef. Like so many things here, we just remove a word. - This is not true. it has to do with the preserving or cooking process. Corned Beef is a brisket that has been Brine. Process takes about 7 days in the solution then is cooked.
So it will not be oily or salty
I just cooked a 5.13 lb corned beef brisket according to instructions provided on the package...It shrank to 1.10 lbs! Hardly worth the effort considering the price...

Corned beef comes from the brisket, however, do not get it mixed up with corn fed beef, corned beef is brine-cured after the cow is slaughtered.
A corned fish dinner is the same thing as a boiled dinner, except you use corned cod instead of brisket or ham. you can make fish cakes with the left overs.
Corned beef is made from the brisket of the cow. Brisket is a beef cut taken from the breast section beneath the first five ribs, behind the foreshank (upper portion of the front leg).
brisket if a good ,tasty piece of meat but takes a long time to cook. Its your choice if you can handle it to make saurbraten.
YES YES YES, there is so much flavor in the juice from the package, I put the brisket and all the juice in the pot, then the spice package and then enough water to cover the brisket. I also use this water to cook my cabbage in, the spices give the cabbage such a wonderful flavor. Enjoy
The brisket on a cow is commonly made into a corned beef brisket or smoked/grilled, etc. in its entirety and served as a large cut that often feeds the whole family. In the southern US, particularly Texas, brisket is a staple of smoked meats and is often smoked over night, leaving it delicious and fork tender.
